That's it, that's the question. Could the core1 fit in a u size? And would you make it? Hmm, well I suppose it might depend on what front-panel controls are needed... I could see that it might be possible to do it if there were no front-panel controls (e.g. just CV inputs). However, as with many things right now, the main processor chip used on the core1 is unavailable (I have some stocks, but they are of course limited) and priority is going toward their use on the core1 and kaestle modules... It may be that there will need to be a 'core2' although I have a soft spot for the core1 as it was the first thing made under the wonkystuff banner in 2018 (not for AE of course)!

Yeah. Would have to cut it down to a couple of knobs + maybe a switch. With CV for everything else.
Maybe that's de facto a "core2" or something because it would need different software.
Still, I can dream of a single programmable core voice + an effect (I'm dreaming they'll do Lopag) + another LFO in a single unit.
All academic until the chip-shortage is over ...
