So as I was gardening today I was listening to the first three episodes of the SOS Podcast series. One of them was about Alex Ball who somehow got into making synth documentaries on his youtube channel.
This is the documentary about ARP Instruments, how it all began, the various instruments they built and how it eventually fell apart. Im sure you'll be hard pressed to find a better thing to do than watch this for 2 hours!

ARP AXXE was my very first - 2nd hand from a great music shop around the corner ... can’t remember how much it was but those were the days when £100 was a fortune .. so quite possibly less than that! should really have kept a hold of it but had no manual and no clue what i was doing .. though i did manage to get a sound like bubbling water out of it! Will watch this later whilst trying to suppress all feelings of nostalgia

I seen worse "Pro" documenteries! I watched this a while ago and it is very good. Most Alex Ball videos are def. worth watching, my favourites are where he is looking at some piece of legacy gear. His latest one is at an Italian Synth museum and quite a few synths I'd nebver heard of!
