The PW-Fix toggle switch broke on my 2OSC/d and one if them is super loose on my DRONE38. I've only had the system for less than a month. It is amazing and sounds fantastic but some of the QC I'm not very happy with, particularly the toggle switches and potentiometer calibration (?). I'll make another post for that as I would like to try to fix it.
Question 1: are the toggle switches a known issue?
Question 2: I'm in the US so I'm planning on repairing it myself. Does anyone know where to get replacements? If this is common I'll order a bunch of them.
Thanks

I have not encountered any issues with the toggle switches yet. What calibration issues are your referring to?

The potentiometers on the SEQ8 don't line up with P, I, II, etc. There's a very small range where I can select these sequence values.
Maybe there's something I'm not understanding but the pulse width potentiometer on the 2 osc only has an audible range from about 9 to 3 o'clock. So if I rotate past either end the sound cuts out. So if I use an LFO to modulate the PW it will cut off if I don't attenuate the CV into the PW.

I have about 80+ modules in my system and only one toggle switch broke off. I then replaced it myself even though I'm not really great with soldering. A while back, NightMachines has assembled a list to compatible parts for AE which can be used in DIY projects. There should be a link to the appropriate toggle switch type: forum.aemodular.com/thread/358/modular-synth-diy-shopping-listsRegarding the mis-alignment of potis on the SEQ8 - I can attest to the same behaviour on my SEQ8. It's not ideal, but I just fiddle until it fits and look at the markings as more of a pointer in the general direction instead of a precision instrument.

Awesome, thanks for the good news (they're not prone to breaking) and the info on their dimensions.

Thanks I have an orginal Kickstarter system, and a lot of purchases since, and no broken toggle switches, and not raised on the forum before so hopefully you were just unlucky....
Radioshack is still operating in the US? Think it went on-line but still offered electronic components.

I smash the hell out of the 4buffer toggle switch to the point of wearing away the faceplate, toggle switch hasn't budged so far

[/quote] I thought RadioShack went under a long time ago but apparently there are locations all over the US again. I'm probably just going to scavenge the lock switch on the quantizer

Of course, these switches are quite budget (to fit in the whole AE price calculation), but for most users they work fine. I know of certain cases where they were harder to move (and therefore more prone to breaking the handle) after soldering by our PCB manufacturer - in these cases, we swapped them manually by new ones. Maybe some slipped through our QC? For newer modules (e.g. MODULATORS, KUZMIN FILTER), we changed to a new, a bit bigger type of switch I have found now, and one by one also the existing modules will be updated. Anyway, in your case I can send you a bunch of switches for free (if you haven't ordered them already somewhere else); I'm glad you can do the replacement by yourself! Just send me a PM if you still need them, we will send them right away! Sorry for the delayed answer; I have been in berlin for SUPERBOOTH the last week and have just returned to the workshop today.)
