It is indeed on my top ten of scary music videos especially the first time you see it. Mr. Cunningham playing the main character, talking about dedication to your own art.
My number two or tree must be the uncensored version of happiness in slavery by nine inch nails.
The worst for me, hands down, is the Broken video by nine inch nails:
"Coming off the commercial high of the Pretty Hate Machine, and a high profile slot on the first Lollapalooza tour, Reznor had a very adverse reaction to the fame bug and set about trying to sabotage his own popularity. In short order, Nine Inch Nails released both the Broken and Fixed EPs. The former was a suite of songs heavy on both guitar and extreme self-loathing, and light on immediately catchy songs like breakout single "Head Like a Hole," while the latter was a total deconstruction of of the songs on the first EP by the likes of Coil and Jim "Foetus" Thirlwell.
Not satisfied with that demolition work, Reznor filmed a short "movie" that showcased several of the songs on Broken, in collaboration with extreme performance artist Bob Flanagan and Coil's Peter Christopherson. For a bit more context, Flanagan's work delved into self-mutilation, while Peter Christopherson had the affectionate nickname "Sleazy" (from friends, no less) and one of Coil's best albums was music that had been slated to soundtrack a Hellraiser film, but was rejected for being "too frightening."
The end result was too much for even Reznor; not to mention Christopherson being momentarily shaken by what he's created. Reznor cancelled the release, but dubbed off a few copies for "friends" that later spread to devotees of the dark corners of "alternative" music. (Probably next to GG Allin live bootlegs.) And now the film has made its way to the internet. Perhaps the home for which it was unconsciously intended."
It can be found on the internets it was even on youtube for a while, up to this day I don't understand how that was possible.

I've just discovered my earlier comment is now not valid. Found 2 reasons for that. Holy crap.

Fun fact, Peter Christopherson and Jhon Balance of coil provided Clive Barker with photos etc. in the making of Hellraiser. But then the americans took interest in the movie and found it too extreme for human consumption.

Hellraiser was bad enough as it was. I remember the original was one of the first horror movies that got to me. Evil Dead and the Exorcist were up there too. Oh and Jaws......couldn't even swim in the pool for a few days after that one.....

I can imagine that Jaws a a bit more impact on aussie kids than it had on a bHellgian toddlers, not so many sharks around here, or murderous fauna for that matter.
Evil dead 2 is a cult slapstick. Hellraiser got me good though.

"Attack of the ferns" def would have been even worse for us if they had made it. Just looked up scary Things in bHellgium. Your not wrong, lots of hauntings over there. I wouldn't go out at night.

Hellraiser is also no longer on my list of scary movies. I just re-watched it and oh my it did not age well, to say the least Slow pace, poor soundtrack incoherent photography/story cheesy plastic special fx. The only thing that kept its charisma are the cenobites.

I'll add this to my movies not to revisit.....glad at least the cenobites were as remembered, they were the coolest part and the imagine of pinhead for me will remain. I remember thinking the special fx were great back then even if I was peaking through my fingers.....
