So I'm out with the covids, you can't say I'm an early adopter, so I spend my waking hours watching some netflix and I came across this documentary on the origins of hiphop and its evolution:
Seriously interesting watch going waaaay beyond the sugarhill gang myth. A must see for all the Headz out there.

On my Netflix watchlist now, not my favourite genre of music but I loved the new beats/rhythms that came in, new ways of making (dance) music and it was a music explosion in many ways bigger than punk - certainally financially....

cool, will be watching this. The Hip Hop story is really interesting and how it developed.
Watched BIGGIE not long ago (on netflix too), another interesting watch on his rise and wasted fall.
