hi, is it possible to sync AE systems or modules to an eurorack? lets say to an eurorack sequencer or to the ARP 2609 from Behringer? and what kind of connections or cables/converters do you need?
thank you

You would just connect a gate from the sequencer to one of the I/O jacks and then to either one of the AE sequencers. This works exactly like connecting CV and Gate from the Keystep which I've showed in this video:

maybe or most likely i’m doing something wrong i’ve tried connecting a cable from cv out from either the keystep pro or the arp2600 and… nothing happens no tempo sync the lights in the master i/o won’t even blink. but when i send midi via the breakout cable it does receive data and lights blink. what i am teying to get to di is: use a keystep pro to sync and sequence; channel 1- the AE systems(drums mostly), channel 2-moog sub25, channel 3-poly D and channel 4-Arp2600. i’ve managed to sync all 2,3 and 4 channels. but the channel one i haven been able to successfully connect and sync/drum sequence te EA systems. hope all that was clear thanks one more time Rami.

The MASTER module's lights are only for stuff coming in from MIDI. If you're going to run a signal into the MASTER module, it won't show up on the bus sync connectors.
Here's how you'd do it:
clock signal from keystep (1/8" plug) -> MASTER module CTRL IO -> into whatever module needs a clock (patchwire)
Remember that the sync the various AE sequencers are looking for is 1 pulse per step-- so 16 steps per measure if you're doing 4/4 time (which is the most likely thing).
From the Behringer Arp, you'd probably want to run a 1/8" cable from the INT CLK OUT jack to the MASTER module's CTRL IO, and use that for clock in your AE rig. If that sends something more than one trigger per 16th note you may need to use a BEAT DIVIDER module on the AE side to turn it into 1 tick per step for your AE stuff.
From a eurorack sequencer, it might get a little more complicated. The Keystep Pro doesn't have a dedicated clock 1/8" jack-- you do have drum trigger outs, so you could use one of those and send one drum trigger every time you want your AE stuff to advance by a step. The most basic way to do this would be to dedicate a drum channel on the Keystep to clocking your AE stuff and send one trigger every step, so 16 triggers per measure. (If you skip steps on the Keystep you can get into more complex rhythms on the AE, which is fun).
Does that help? Remember that ONLY the MIDI input will light up the Master's sync, and none of these inputs will go into the bus sync lines, so those bus connectors on your AE sequencer modules won't be usable. You'll need to patch from the IO to the AE modules that need a clock. If you have 2 or 3 AE modules that need a clock you can use a passive mult (there are mults on a few modules-- look around and see if you have any-- basically a signal coming in on one plug will show up on the other plugs in each mult). If you have more than 2 or 3 modules that need the same clock, it's worth picking up a buffered mult module (4BUFFER) to keep stuff at good levels so you don't drop steps.
Does this help?
