I'll be tehre as a visitor on saturday, and I think about bringing my AEM with me, just in case some people over ther are interested in this little format, I can show them what it is all about, who know might interest people! Anyway, hope to see some of you there, who knows www.synthfestfrance.com/

Wow, a three day event seems quite big! I hope you will have a wonderful time and hope that there will be some AE enthusiasts in the area who may be able to meet up. moruial, would you mind taking a few photos and post them here? Since I live so far away from everything I always love to see what's going on in the big wide world of synths.

Sure thing! i can do that
Even if it's a 3 day event it's quiet a small thing none the less. At tleast last time I was there. The last two years it was "live from home on youtube" due to the Covid. Might have grown since then. Anyhow i'll take some photos and show you how it was

Aaaaan here you go! Some photos of the Synth Fest France. It wasn't a big thing but it was great nontheless, every synth could be played and tried. It's funny to see everybody with their headphone waiting to plug them in something to try out new toys. And it's especially amazing to be able to play on machine most of us won't ever have the chance to play once, thinking about the Minimoog, ARP 2600 and Jupiter 8
We also had the chance to have a demo from Yves Usson on his amazing recreation of the ARP 2500, it was mind blowing, the filter on this is a piece of art, it blew our mind.
Anyhow, it was a very fun experience and it was lot of fun. On a personal side, I'm quiet happy to have tried the Polybrute from Arturia and the Continumm from Haken Audio. One day you'll be mine Polybrute, oh yes, one day you'll be mine!

looks and sounds like a lot of fun. I've never been to an event like this. Are the wait times reasonable and do you get allocated a time limit for each synth or does it just work.

Looks good fun. I'm surprised that this is now allowed in France 'cause they went quite all-in when the pandemic hit. No face masks etc, the germophobic in me wakes up seeing those photo's but I'll get over it. One day I'll stop carrying my 10 ft cattle prod when going outside, I promise.

looks and sounds like a lot of fun. I've never been to an event like this. Are the wait times reasonable and do you get allocated a time limit for each synth or does it just work. No real waiting time, no queue either. You just wait for somebody to leave the synth and try it, if you want to spend 1 hour on the synth, you can, but nobody does that though I think the longest i've seen sombody on one synth was something like 30 minutes.
On the stage there was only vintage synths, all of them were lend to the synthfest by artist from diffrente places. there was a sequencer from jean-Michel jarre, from what I understood it's a unique machine, made especially for him in the 70's. But there was lot nad lots of good stuff, Jupiter 8, Minibood, pro-one, ARP 2600, PPG,... There was a Mogg one if I recall correclty....
And also "new" syth, such as tyhe novation Peak or Sumit, Korg volcas, Minilogue, Arturia's Polybrute and so on.
As for the pandemic, here I feel like most of people think covid is gone and we're safe now. When we didn't had to wear masks 90% of people start doing what they were doing before, being close to eachother, kissing, hugs, and so on. I think most of french are vaccinated now, so we feel safe. Lets hope it will not strike again as it did, we'll see.
