This has come up a couple of times now, maydonpoliris and I were "talking" and decided to just do it; hope you enjoy as much as we did writing music together via messaging on the forum, email and dropbox (for the files,  ).
Just for info, no DAW was involved; Sync was achieved by maydonpoliris manually having several goes where he didn't get it quite right. This is called real life &/or live folks! |

Had a great time doing this and working with pol . Main melody is the Wavetables sequenced via the Monostation(no sound from that). did this so I could easily start and stop for the sync and also to create a melody as wanted it to be synth poppy after hearing the original rhythm track. Once started the Ae was bang on. After the initial sync I brought in other elements from Ae using the 6 mute on the beat to keep it on track....mostly.  . |

Fantastic stuff you guys! That seemed to work out really well! thanks Carsten. yeah pretty chuffed with how it turned out. Took a few days to get going but once we started to get something it was pretty easy to iron things out that each other saw, throw ideas around etc as we went. |

Being 10 hours apart timezone wise meant we kept it relaxed and fun! For me the best bit is that it is a piece we would not have made individually, you can see where we each contibrute. |

Maaaaaaarvellous gents! Really liking it - great track. Where are those drums coming from? Thanks Max. There are 2 kinds. The one at the very start is from the Ae Kick into drumkit into Kurts Quadboost into Phaser. It does continue throughout as well. The one that repeats and changes throughout carrying the main beat pol sent me the pieces and I loaded them up onto the norns shield and triggered them via the MonoStation. Roger will be able to explain where those pieces came from. We did a shorter mainly test drum version which we have decided will go on the album too. Its similar but different. We did a vid for that one originally which I may as well put in here now. cheers |

Maaaaaaarvellous gents! Really liking it - great track. Where are those drums coming from? The "main drums" are the Akai MPC with samples from the Roland TR909 (purchased, don't have a 909!), if I remember correctly they were processed a little, gated reverb mostly I think. |

I've been mainly spinning these tracks on PC from bandcamp, but forgot that I never commented here! Really enjoyed these, the combination of pol's melodic songwriting & maydons fantastic sound design, its wild and yet works so well. Walking Around Zion reminds me of early Acid House, with its extremely catchy basis, with some off-the-scale riffing slapped on top. Like at the same time super melodic and not melodic at all. Really curious to see whatever you two cook up in the future! |

We've got a bit more experimental with newer tracks (the 3rd is almost complete) but I'm sure we'll be back to some bouncy stuff one day!
