aaaah crap!!! Currently sitting down this morning, going through forum stuff, listening to the bandcamp releases and making purchases as I do on a sat morn especially when its still Bandcamp Friday and just realised I'm on hoilidays and its only Friday morning here which is still 11 hours before the official BC Friday!!!! oh the humanity.
Apologies to those that I've purchased from, I had held off waiting until BC Friday too.
shokka, I'll still enjoy your music just as much though.....

so far so good.....
Haven't tried it yet but queuing up albums to listen to all day is pretty cool addition.

Thanks for listening, it's sure not for everyone but i appreciate you giving it a chance 😄 it's really meant to be live music as well, high energy for some live chaos! Good question about the English. When I sing I always prefer Dutch, because i can express myself way better that way. Our singer however has quite a fascination with the English language & lyrics (from other bands). So that's why he likes to sing in English. He also has a lot of British friends, so I guess he likes them to understand his message as well! I'm curious now whether his English sounds okay/convincing to native speakers? 😄 |

I plan on releasing an EP with Dutch rap tracks together with a good friend of mine this summer. We got two tracks entirely finished right now, and two other tracks are at about 80% but need some extra vocal recordings. I'm stoked about that release, we've really been working several years on developping our rap voice & lyrics, so i'm super happy that we'll finally be able to share that stuff.a On my first album (from late 2019, but seems like yesterday due to Covid), i had one dreampop and one rap track in dutch. The dreampop track is about a long relationship i had, where i almost proposed (and she almost said yes) but we split up. It's about the feeling of that summer: on one hand deep sadness, but also a kind of relief, without any resentment. Oh, and I've been enjoying Special Snowflake as well, since he had these great tracks with the Nice AE artist Decaryi! I don't know if Decaryi is on the forum, but i discovered him through Instagram tags, and really like his AE experiments

keurslagerkurt same, I discovered snowflake through Dacaryi who also have some cool Ae tracks out there and is on the tubes too. Kidding me, I didn't realise that it was your voice on those tracks. very cool. I have been listening to them at work for a year now and Morgen is one of my favourite tracks out of all of them. As a synth/techno artist I just thought you had resampled. many apologies and cool to get some background on them. pumped for your next Dutch rap EP now.

Bandcamp Friday this week (4th August 2023), GMT I believe for those of you in markedly different timezones...
Just in case you don't know, 100% of what you pay (minus sales tax where applicable) goes to the artist, good way to give them a boost without paying out more. Also you can listen to all the music for free (there's sh*tloads); I think it is 4 or 5 times per track until you have to pay for that track to listen again, so pretty risk free!
Bandcamp now has playlists, been great for me whilst at work 
One of the best ways of finding new music in this day and age. I sometimes just look at what other people have bought if tehy have bought the same music as me, found Apiento & Co like that - a great pleasure.
Also for those of you with sample playback, there are a lot of Royalty free samples on there too.....
