Came across these pdf scans of Synapse magazine from 1976-1979, and figured some people here might enjoy a look. It’s a great window into 70’s synth culture and has some really great interviews, patching techniques, schematics and old music reviews. Enjoy! Edit: Just as a note, as a glimpse into 70’s synth culture it comes with cultural baggage for better and for worse and some outdated attitudes. Please browse accordingly! Synapse PDF’s at Monoskop

Interesting the difference between the first and last issues, even between Volume 1 and Volume 2 at how popular it became with the added adverts and more expense going into the content.

and keeping up with the Sisters with Transisters theme there is an advert for Dataton 3301 polyphonic computer which is ..........
"a housewives brand new washday miracle product you've been waiting for" .......
page 22 of Volume 3 number 2 for anyone wanting to drop their baskets and ask their husbands to drive them to the shops and buy one............
so glad things have changed.....

I’m a grad student / stay at home dad AND do all of the laundry for our family, so in my case it’s actually fairly accurate… (except I have the internet and don’t have to go to the shops)

Very interesting, a bit like opening a timecapsule.
