Build a patch that contains strong rhythmical elements, but for the love of <insert preferred deity here> avoid the fours; No four to the floors, no sixteens or 32s or 64s or 96 or whatever repetition that can be simplified to 4, is to be used, go primal, or go even, do your math and wow us. If Ernest Vincent Wright could write a book in English without the use of the letter E then this challenge can't be that hard.
Edit: The closer you stay to to using standard AE modules the more kudos to you, If you can avoid the use of sequencers altogether then you will probably be crowned king of the hill. Get your polyrhythms and your polymeters on.

Hello, I tried something !
I think I'm a little out of the challenge bounds, but hey, just see it as a pretext to share to you something
**
I think a good way to get some organic drum pattern is to try something else than using a sequencer. Also because we want to avoid any kind of 4 multiples, my idea was to try something polyrythmic. For this patch I used the pings of two non-sync LFOs and send the mix to a Phaser and then to a Wavefolder. One output of the Wavefolder goes to the Spring reverb, and then to a sub channel of the mixer 4-4. The second output of the Wavefolder goes to SV Filter, and then to another sub channel of the mixer. LFO2 output also sends some modulation to SV Filter CV1, and to the Wavefolder CV1 input. Then, I have a self modulated (thanks tIB for the tip !) OSC that goes to the SVFilter too. It appears around 0:32. So this oscillator sound is mixed with the second track of the drums.
And finally at 0:53, a second self modulated OSC appears, but it goes through a tape recorder (because I like the lofi overdrive that it adds), and it goes through a delay and reverb guitar pedal.
See you !

I like it, the rules' main purpose is to be broken.

I'm going to put this here because the the track is dedicated to Odd in the vein of trying to stay away from the 4's.
not sure I actually get the end brief but I guess the idea is to make you think.
So everything I did was to an odd number.
2 seq8 set to length of 7 and a Se16 to 15.
the Euclid triggers were set to 7 and an LFO dealt with the Fill setting.
While playing with the 6Mute I tried my hardest to only press the buttons on an odd number while watching the Seq16.
Also this track was inspired by Gary Numan's Tubeway Army Album so that's Odd too I guess. Great album too if you haven't heard it.

Nice, I really like the 80's electro punk vibes. Reminds me of D.A.F.

Something went wrong with the share of the video, it seems unavailable. 'Funny' fact about D.A.F. at some some point they got accused by some muso journos to be neo nazis probably just because of their sound and their band name (Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft).

A bugger, it was just a youtube mix for DAF. was pretty cool. 'Some' Journo's have no idea.

Probably just the way they looked/dressed and being German. They didn't even have tattoos when I saw them! I read very little music press as they talk such bollocks and doesn't help with whether you (would) like the music or not. Same reason I ignore 99% of "social" media...
I always thought it was funny that Joy Division/New Order didn't get more stick for their names as actually taken from Nazi themes. As far as I am aware has no relationship to any of the band member's views, but still a bit strange, probaly would get some abuse if they started now.

Yep so happy to have grown up in a world without smartphones where every stupid move you make will be photographed or filmed, and don't get me started on cancel culture. We live in an age of endless free access to information yet we isolate ourselves more and more in echo chambers.

Finally got around to doing this patch challange, sorry for the delay....
Realised watching the video one of the sequences is sort of, maybe, could be 4/4 time but it isn't treated as such....

I just realise that it is in bad taste to post a challenge that you don't take yourself. I better cook something up. Will keep you posted.

Nice breakcore (very reminiscent of Meat Beat Manifesto) but It also has a strong 4/4 pulse.

Saw them live at a Mutoid Waste warehouse gig in Kentish Town LDN. Long time ago now but a great gig.
