Also there are so many posts on the performances board that it's almost time to think about a collection. Maybe a bandcamp album of "Sounds of AE Vol. I"?
Anyway, I'm super please with how this forum is going and I thank all of you who have signed up, asked questions, answered questions, posted your performances, posted ideas, organised challenges and overall took part in the discussion around electronic music in general and the AE system in particular.
Doesn't surprise me for a minute. I knew when I first saw the AE system on YT about a year-plus ago that there was definitely something up with it. Robert really hit the nail on the head when he started developing this, and as an alternative to the bigger and pricier systems out there, it makes an incredibly strong argument for itself. Sure...you could spendspendspend on a Eurorack system until it takes over your bank account, build huge 5U systems that are anchored to the studio (along with whatever music you do with them), get into Buchla or Serge provided you have a seven-figure income...or just end-run all of that with an AE that doesn't require you to sell your extra kidney, gives you what you need _and_ plays nice with other economically-sensible pinpatchers (like Bastl, f'rinstance), and when it's time to gig, you can fold up eight cabs of it and fit all 160 spaces of that soundmaking power into something the size of a basic suitcase. Why would you want anything else?
