Greetings... just got my first hinge kit and am joining (or trying to join) two 2x standard cases. It seems pretty simple (four screws and obvious placement), but maybe I'm doing something wrong because nothing, and I mean *nothing* will keep the upper case upright. No amount of vigorous tightening seems to prevent the case ends from slipping against the hinges, and when it slips the hinge screws work themselves loose. It's smooth hard plastic on the hinge against smooth hard acrylic on the side of the case, so I'm having a hard time understanding why the hinge kit isn't rubberized or something. I tried swapping the positions of the two cases because the upper one was a little heavier, but it didn't make a lot of difference.
I'm assuming I'm committing some kind of embarrassing user error because this seems nonfunctional. I'm going to put some rubber spray on it and that should make a huge improvement, but /shrug.

Hi,
I moved this post to the tangible waves sub board as it is specific to a tw product.
The hinge kit should have rubberized contacts where it touches the sides. Can you send an image of your kit? I wonder if that was for some reason missing and then you would need to go back to your retailer or Robert directly to get a replacement.
Cheers, Carsten.
