Hey good people, just wanted to share with you a small diy thing i did the other day.
I added 3-position switches to all my Seq16 and Triq164 modules (see pic below) and it was a very useful addition for me, adds functionality to the modules and is great for live use
(because who wants to have to connect these tiny cables on a poorly lit live stage?).
You can use them to alternate between 3 reset points, thus adding patterns inside your already created pattern, or to send cv from the seq to 3 different oscillators or whatever else you can think of.
By the way, the specific switches i bought can control 2 circuits at the same time. That means that each position can e.g send gate AND cv to a different destination. Sadly i didn't wire both circuits, might regret it in the future. It was a bit difficult and time consuming installing them without completely butchering the modules, just a warning for whomever might be interested to try it :-)

Cool hack, if you have one of the switching modules then you can patch the same technique without voiding the warranty on your sequencer modules.

Well yeah, I'm sure there's countless other ways to achieve this. I'm fighting the temptation to call u captain obvious but I won't :-) have been doing that in the past with the 3 vcswitch. But its not the same huh?
- overall cost of 10 euros plus a few hours of work for 10 3 position switches, how much would that cost in AE modules? - great tactile feel when u switch, which I lack on ae modules. -convenient placement ON the module itself, no long cables, no clutter, no rack Space "wasted" for extra modules -no reset problems, which happens often with some modules. Don't remember about the 3vc switch, but the OR module definitely doesn't work well with combining resets for the Triq or Seq. Maybe the 3 VC switch too, have to try.

Ah yes indeed combining the different trigger output and routing them to the reset is indeed a bit of a pain, on the SEQ8 however it seems to work ok by using the logic module.

Ah yes, with the XOR output

<button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> Really like this idea but don't think I'd dare to attack my modules like this!

As such you don't really mod the module but more the face plate.

"- great tactile feel when u switch"
great idea! and makes it your own. I agree with the tactile feel of things too. Using the 4buffer switch live is fun so I understand this.
