qvca question

The Wonkystuff QVCA has 4 VCAs in it. They are set up so the control voltage (that is, how loud the VCA gets) is on the top half of the inputs and the audio inputs (the thing that gets made louder or softer) is in the bottom half.

The 2VCA module there is set up like this:

If you know how that works, you can pretty easily swap out the Wonkystuff QVCA for the AE 2VCA. The (maybe) confusing part is that instead of alternating like the 2VCA, all the CV inputs are in the top half and all the audio inputs are in the bottom half. So you should run your envelope's output into, for example, CV1 (on top) and the audio input (what would go to IN1 on the original AE 2VCA) to the QVCA's VCA1 input.

The Wonkystuff QVCA is laid out like:

CV1     inverted CV1

CV2     inverted CV2

CV3     inverted CV3

CV4     inverted CV4
IN1      OUT1
IN2      OUT2

IN3      OUT3

IN4      OUT4

The audio output comes out of the right-hand side, directly across from where you've plugged the audio input. For real basic VCA use, you don't need to do anything with the inverted CV outputs.
