Can the analog output of the core.æ send out discrete values, or it pwm? It's not completely clear to me.

Can the analog output of the core.æ send out discrete values, or it pwm? It's not completely clear to me. The ‘a’ outputs from the core are decoupled through a capacitor, so DC changes will not work there, however the m-c output is SV-coupled and PWM so can be used for CV. In fact the S-C output can also be configured for PWM but there is no reconstruction filter on that output so that is needed externally (for example a resistor and capacitor on the BRAEDBOARD module. (This reminds me that I need to write this up for the wiki — thank you!) |

This is something I've been wondering a lot, how is this done in other modules that can send out CV, like the RBSS does that come with an RC filter onboard or does it contain a DAC?

This is something I've been wondering a lot, how is this done in other modules that can send out CV, like the RBSS does that come with an RC filter onboard or does it contain a DAC? The output stage of the core is exactly the same as that in the rbss, so it would be possible to create an rbss-like firmware for the core if you wanted  |
