You can even put it in the middle. Not sure why you would want to do that, but you can.

A small addition to this, because it came up here recently:
NEVER EVER connect the AE buscable to the pins named EURORACK on the MASTER module; this feeds 9V from the power supply to the bus and can (does) destroy modules. I hadn't considered this possibility but it has happend to a customer. I will add a protection for the next series of MASTER modules of course.

Yikes! I guess those pins are there for use with the eurorack adapter frame? Does the POWER module have them also?

I bought a used 1x12 rack and some modules from a guy on Reverb and he had sort of cranked the bus cable end around and plugged it into both the horizontal and vertical bus connectors on the back of the master module. Apparently this doesn't break things but it was sure weird.
