Not a day goes by without me finding a new favourite plant. I've attached 2 photos from my collection that I'm liking at the moment. The First is a Telopea New South Wales Waratah. The second is a Wollemi Pine in the clay pot at the back (for some reason I can't rotate the pic in the attachment sorry) It's one of the rarest with only 100 adult trees in the wild found not far from where I live. I'm stoked to see new growth on it for the first time. www.wollemipine.com/The one in the front is a Prumnopitys ladei an Australian Brown/black pine which I'm trying to bonsai. www.anbg.gov.au/gnp/interns-2005/prumnopitys-ladei.html

Australia is really the place of memes, half the wildlife will actively try to kill you but the plants are jst beautiful.

Today I've learnt a new phrase! They still sell for crazy prices, like a 100AUD for a 140mm pot. I was even more jammy because there was a great sale on at a show so got it at a fraction of the price.

Beautiful trees. I've only seen the male variety and the smell of the fruit from the female sounds so bad that I want to experience it......only once though.

A link to one of my favourite plants at one of my favourite nurseries; they sell woodland plants and mine is (sort of) a woodland garden.... www.ballyrobertgardens.com/products/acanthus-mollisSince I moved here 18 months ago, I have added 5 different Acanthus,

ah the Oyster plant! as I know it which may be the same everywhere. I've found that once its in the garden its IN the garden. Great flower spike. You've reminded me that I took a photo of my favourite plant, the Pompom/Powder Puff tree or Calliandra. I ball this tree in a pot at the front door. www.gardensonline.com.au/GardenShed/PlantFinder/Show_2755.aspx
