This was recorded live, but the sound wasn't recorded, just had the creak of my chair.... So I recorded the audio separately and combined them in software. You therefore will find things won't quite match up with my hand movements. I was going to put some vid FX etc. on but was so cheesed off about getting everything to this point (typical computer things which is why there is not one in my studio), I haven't. The "camera" does pan around though.... There is a 20 second pause at the beginning, this is to help you get in the mood. (cough).

Hope this is the start of many!
I had similar issues with the audio not being heard on the android phone via the usb connection from the zoom h1n. the fix I found was to use the headphone out of the zoom then into the headphone in on the android via an audio splitter cable.

I believe that this is a "feature" of Android, unfortunately. I bough a Samsung S10 mid 2019 and it was recording fine via USB, but sometime in December 2019 a big Android update disabled this. I have scoured the internet for a solution and only found dozens of posts of other sound victims So since end of 2019 I've had to record all my videos with the sound separately. So video is via the phone and sound goes from my mixer into an audio interface and then into Audacity (because it's got an amazing noise cancelling plugin ) Then synchronisation in my Video software ... it's a bit more hassle, but no too bad, once you get used to it.

I think you would be an expert in syncing audio and video now!!.
I too scoured the internet for that 1 genius that could give me the secret code but alas only victims. I find the splitter cable works great with none of the sync heartache now.

I find the splitter cable works great with none of the sync heartache now. This method is indeed the easier way, but alas it's only mono. The phone's TRRRS connector has two channels for the output, but only one channel for the input.

I will try this, I've tried 3 different video software programs and all pissed me off no end, I want an easy answer!

I'm most impressed as they are synced seamlessly! Which software do you use as matter of interest?

So the way to sync is by clapping your hands. I have a microphone plugged into the mixer that also gets the audio from the AE Modular so that I can record my hand clap on both the mobile phone camera and the audio. After setting up the camera the correct angle (and having put it into Airplane mode!) I first start the recording in Audacity with the microphone turned off. I record about 10-15 seconds to get a good sample of the noise floor. Then I turn on the microphone and also press record on the video camera. Then I wait another few seconds and then just clap my hands. Then I turn off the microphone. Then I start my performance on the AE ... After the performance I let everything run for another 10-15 seconds and then I just stop Audacity and then the video. In Audacity I then select the first 10 seconds and go to "Noise reduction" in the effects and click on "Get Noise Profile". Then I select the whole track and click on "Noise reduction" again, but this time I click the Ok button to perform the noise clean up. I don't understand how this works so I've never changed the default parameters, but those give me good results already. Then I export the audio file to 16bit wav and close Audacity. I then transfer the video from my mobile phone via USB to my PC. I use a Video software called Movavi www.movavi.com/video-editor-plus/ which is not free, but after testing about a dozen different ones I found that this works best on my PC. I drop the video file and the audio wav file into Movavi and then I can see already the audio's peak where I clapped on both tracks. I then line up the peaks and cut off everything in front of it so both tracks start at the clap. Then I delete the audio from the video track because that would only have squeaking chairs, etc. which no one wants. Then I SAVE THE PROJECT!!! Then I trim more from the beginning to start at where there's actual music and trim the end as well so both tracks end at the same time. This may look like a lot of steps, but it's really quick once you've done it a few time. More complicated are my tutorial videos where I have many different takes from different angles, sometimes even shot at different times of the day or even over a number of days. Then I have to do the sync for each part and then put them all together, put the text boxes in, etc. that can take a few hours to edit for a 10-20 minute video. Maybe I should make a video about my video workflow? That would be so meta Here's a screenshot of where the magic happens in the software:

Did do a 7 day free trial of one but didn't get on with it so well. Will look at Movavi, thanks.

Thank you admin, after my 24hr free trial I have purchase Muvavi, it just works! I re-did my experiment 144 video just to see and it was literally done in 2 minutes, most of that being sorting out the media files into the program. No 20 sec pause at the beginning, just worked. Not going to put the fixed one on Youtube though. Did one other thing with Muvavi, and decided "this is why you pay for software" and purchased it. The video for Patch Challenge 1 was going to be edited in it, but decided just to go with the unrehearsed and live recording (which you can tell!). Already planning the next video...
