This is a big album! So far I've only listened to the first track Major Blues but the sequencing is fantastic and will return to the album notes to check if patch notes are there as per your info. Cheers.

I love your approach to minimalism, both in style and sound. Is this all AE or is there external sequencing going on? I find there is a zen like exercise in trying to squeeze the most out of the the sequencing abilities of the AE modular. I love those polyrhythms, and how the different phrases morph and mesh in and out over eachother. I'm pretty sure Mr Glass and Mr Riley would approve of this.

My favourite track is "Minor Happiness" because it instantly reminded me of my absolute all time favourite classical piece: The Moldau by Smetana. Since I was a teenager I loved the beginning of this piece with the intertwining flutes and then all the other instruments weaving in and out just like the flow of water along a stream ... And this track is very similar and very different at the same time. I love it!
Here's a rendition of The Moldau for comparison...

I heard Stranger Things in that tune, probably the lush arpeggios that create this subtle drone between themselves. I really like the Major Blues, and lydians dance which is very Reich, clapping music anyone?

I love your approach to minimalism, both in style and sound. Is this all AE or is there external sequencing going on? Yup! Everything comes from within the AE modular. I built a complex sequencer out of the available sequencers and modules for AE: AE Modular Complex Sequencer: - 3 SEQ16
- 1 SEQ8
- 4 Sample&Hold
- TRIP
- Beat Divider
- MM Divider
- rbss
From there I have five oscillators: - 2 FMOS
- 2 WAVETABLES
- 1 VCO
- 2 Quantizers
From there logic units, switches and your standard envelops, low pass gates filters wavefolders tons of vcas to complete the voices. I think of the synth as chamber music. Think: - saxophone quartets
- woodwind quintets
- brass quintets
- jazz combos

Thanks for the positive response, guys. I posted this same thing over on SaxontheWeb and have gotten a lot of negative feedback on the album. I find that traditional music, musicians are not open to new ideas. That's the main reason art forms like jazz and classical are essentially dead art forms. Much like Latin, they can no longer absorb new ideas. Thankful for such a positive and uplifting community here. The shear variety of music that each person produces, yet not a negative word!

I've tried to listen to your album, but I do have an issue though. Is it normal that it's only on left channel? Or is it some issue from my side? I've tried other media and my headset seems to work fine. Could it be an issue with Bandcamp? :/

Hmm, mine is playing from both channels here on the computer. Anyone else having that problem? I always send it mono out of MULTIFX module to the 4I/O. I wonder if I mistakenly used the left or right output into the recorder or something?
I'm hearing both channels just fine. In fact I hear three channels as the sub woofer is playing fine. Hmm, I don't know.
Still it's mono out when rendered via Audacity. Something may have gone wrong with Bandcamp's re-rendering of teh file. Man, I don't know. Is anyone else having this problem?

Don't really agree on jazz or classical being a dead artforms, I guess it all depend on the state of mind of the players. It seems like I'm really blessed since all my instrument teachers are very open minded people who are very open to new music without losing the tradition, after all every musical evolution is standing on the shoulders of giants.

Good points. We're all building off of what came before. Some people can certainly make the process miserable. Perhaps that's part of the process. Breaking through with something new has always been met with resistance, e.g., Beethoven starting a symphony on the dominant, people storming out in rage with Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Yet the people who only did what came before are forgotten. Those who break through are remembered.

I've tried again today and still only on the left channel. I've played other album on bandcamp and I've got the stereo sound. I don't know what is going on here :/

Hmm - just going from your AEtherwaves track, is the album mono mate? If so that would explain it - it could be that certain devices/browsers aren't upscaling the recording to play on left and right, and are only playing in one channel?

Yeah, it's mono.
I'll just re-upload the track in stereo in the morning.

I had the same issue moruial described with a track on soundcloud which apparently was also in mono but bandcamp apparently did not show that problem to me despite accessing both from the same machine/ browser.

I didn't have any issue anyway! Sounds great mate.
I upscaled your AETHERWAVES track, and the others that were in mono using the Ozone Imager, that's a really powerful tool to just add a little depth to tracks. I think it's often free in the elements bundle, so worth a look out for!
