My wasp has flown for the last time: No low pass outs at all, nothing much happening with the high pass and the bandpass is floppy. Poor little wasp.
If anyone has ideas on what could have gone wrong here let me know - I like the wasp filter but I suppose I worry I might kill it again without knowing how I broke this one...

Are you in the USA? I'd be willing to send you mine. I plan to replace it with a LPG.

Hmmmmm almost the same thing happened to me. The low pass output stopped working, though in my case the bandpass and high pass still worked. I contacted Robert and they sent me a new one, which is working fine atm. Maybe there is a wider issue here?

I'm collecting dead wasps here; and send living ones in return! For free! ;-) I remember an issue we had some time ago with the vactrols; causing non-working filters and sometime this happened intermittent. It's not unlikely you ran into the same issue. I will send a new one, of course. Please drop me a line by email, thanks!

Other Wasp filter clones are known to fail sometimes, and this often appears to be linked to the use of the CD4069 (hex CMOS inverter) in linear mode.
If this active part fails, electrons may still find a way to go from the inputs to the outputs via the passives in between, which could result in way lower levels.
You could attempt replacing this part if you have the right equipment on hand, or at least visually check if anything looks wrong.

I did a visual check on it yesterday and couldn't see anything obvious - that's about my limit really in terms of tech fixes!
I've e!ailed you Robert - thanks very much for that offer, it's a really great service. I'll soften the blow by picking up some knobs or something so I'm paying the post...

Wow, my WASP died some months ago too! I was gonna ask on the forum for any repair tips (i did read up on the CMOS being the likely culprit), but i think i shall now add it to Robert's collection.
Thank you!
Any chance of fitting a IC socket in a future revision for easy IC swapping (ala the Doepfer €rack version)?
