It seems that some countries are being more enthusiastic about import duty & VAT now that the UK has decided to go it alone. I am looking into how I might be able to ease the pain (pre-paying fees for example), but I would be interested to know (from our European customers) what sort of charges are being levied during 2021 so far. bHellgium has always been very enthusiastic with import taxes with order coming outside the EU. It happen a couple of times that I had to pay more import taxes than the value of the ordered good especially with stuff coming from the states. It now look like Br***t means that uk orders will get the same treatment . I feel really sorry for the small(er) British webshops, 'cause this will limit their market share. |

I just needed to pay 28€ for custom in Finland to receive the last order  . Guess I'll be waiting that UK will come back or get a tax agreement with europe before ordering again.... Sorry  |

Sorry  Thanks for the feedback - I'm sorry about that. I have been marking items as 'synthesiser parts' rather than 'instruments' because there's a lower duty imposed, however it looks like that is not zero. I'm really hoping that there will be a low-cutoff agreed at some point (some countries are implementing this unilaterally at the moment), so I suppose that until there is some proper trade agreement, it will depend on individual countries. I shall see if I can update the shop pages (perhaps the checkout page) to make this risk a bit clearer. It seems quite crazy that it is easier/quicker/cheaper to send things to the US than to Europe.  |

Added to the 24% there is a new rules in Finland that the post need to be paid as well. To go from airport where the custom stop the package to the delivery address... Anyway, with now 2 rbss, qvca and a MM333 I got enough goodies to occupied myself before the next Wonky creation will be released  ... I'll be back  |

I plan on shipping my module kits either as 'merchandise' or as 'samples'. Actually, selling it as 'Keurslager Kurt merchandise' is one of the only ways in Belgium to be conform with my taxes... (all tindie/patreon/twitch/etsy/... money through paypall is in a grey area were there are no clear laws or rules).

Yes, I'm keeping careful track of my income/outcome as a 'sole trader' so that I can correctly fill out my tax return at the end of this year. I believe there are stiff penalties (I don't want to find out) for incorrectly declaring packages (and avoiding duty etc.), even though this has happened in the past with items I have received from China... |

(Translation: are there any forum members from Germany here who have experience with ordering from UK? Do I have to pick up the parcel at customs?)

I ordered some wonkystuff stuff last Sunday and the package just arrived. I did not have to pick up the package at a customs office. This happened to me once when I ordered a book from the US. I didn't even had to pay import duty. I just had to pick up the book at the customs office (this was a bit annoying...)
This time I had to pay the customs duties and some other fee directly to the postman. The original order was £79.00 (incl. shipping). I had to pay additional €21.45. Customs duty was €15.45 and the "handling fee" was €6.

I had a fee of 82 pounds levied on an order around 200 and I paid 25 for express DHL,that courier company has to be the worse I have ever dealt with the friendliest is definitely UPS I never get grief if I'm doing ebay and they are being used mostly the same guy every time.
