Hey dear people! I'm Phillip and new to AE Modular. Since two years I am playing a virtual Modular but now I got a AE :3 My Problems is the range of voltage on the Beatstep Pro.
Does anybody know a way to get the CV-out of BSP from 0-10V down to 0-5V? On the Keystep its easy, there is a option for it in the settings. The BSP doesnt't, or I am too dumb for finding it XD Do I have to get used to pressing "Oct-"?
Hope you guys could get to an awnser. Have a nice time and keep jammin'!

Hi glitchyfrog, welcome to the AE family! As far as I know you have to connect your BSP to your PC and install the Arturia MIDI Control Centre software to change the CV voltage. You can download the software and manual here: www.arturia.com/beatstep-pro/resourcesThe current manual describes this process on page 120.

thanks for the quick awnser and your help! The MCC is already installed. I doublechecked the manual.
Unfotunately the settings from page 120 doesn't work for my problem or I don't understand them. They are only changing the type of output and not the voltage or?
Edit: I am trying out these settings now, maybe they work, at least for the Velocity: "10.9.1.5.Seq1 Velocity ScalingThisparametermakesitpossibleforyoutoadjustthevoltagerangefortheSequencer1VELOCVoutput.AllMIDIvelocityvaluesof0-127willberepresented,butthevoltageforthevelocityvalueswillbedifferentdependingonthevalueyouselecthere.Range:1-10,with10providing the maximum voltage range (up to 11 Volts)."

Welcome aboard!
Doesn't the Matser or the 4 I/O modul take care of the voltage for such things?

Hello glitchyfrog, sorry for the late reply, but I just wanted to let you know that what moruial said is correct. You can just patch the CV and Gate from the Beatstep into the Master or 4I/O jacks without any problems because of over voltage. The only thing you will notice is that all voltages above 5V will be cut off down to 5V so you may have to adjust the note range on the BSP using the Windows Application. I used to have a BSP and connected it to my AE with MIDI and CV/Gate and it worked just fine. However I now don't have the BSP any more as I've upgraded to a Synthstrom Deluge. Good luck and happy patching!

Thanks both of you! Yess, the 4I/O are working great. I was only not used to the cutoff. But now, after a bit of training, I got used to it So "problem solved" now I am happy and did a track. Have a nice Time
