Happy New Year to everyone here on the forum! Wherever you are in the world, I hope that you will stay safe and healthy, that the crazy and weird of last year will tune down a bit and that you never lose your joy of patching a modular synth! It's January and that means we have a whole month of jams in the spirit of Jamuary ahead of us. So I thought it would be super cool if we collectively let loose hundreds of jams over the next 4 weeks on Instagram, SoundCloud, YouTube and wherever else hashtags exist and show the world how beautiful the AE Modular sounds in January You don't have to jam every day, but if you do upload a jam to social media please: - Use at least the following hashtags #jamuary2021 #aemodular #modularsynth #synthesizer #tangiblewaves
- Please also link to your post here in this thread
If you get stuck for ideas here is a creativity starter that I saw on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers/comments/knnpo6/jamuary_2021_prompt_list_finish_one_track_per_day/

I’m putting it out there right here and now. I’ll make at least 3 jams in January!! 😁
Can’t wait to see what the rest of the community does!

I took a stab at it. I wanted to play with integrating my Sensel Morph to CV.OCD more. So no LFOs, envelopes, or sequencers were harmed in this production. Poor timing and control is all me, baby soundcloud.com/pretentiousmanband/1-1-21a

really nice Carsten! Already commented on Youtube but love that section from 9:00 minutes onwards especially, dreamy and meandering just how I like it!

Thanks, that part is all thanks to the wonderful rbss module from Wonkystuff in combination with the Wavetable module. Those two work really well together.

And here is Jam #2 - This time it's a lot more meditative as I've just explored the modulation possibilities of my system. Every LFO and ENV has been used in this patch!

First new jam of the year! In the spirit of Jamuary I recorded a video of some sonic exploration using my voice on a very cheap 8sec recording chip (ISD1820). Usually I tend to go for something more structured/songbased/pollished before uploading, but I hope its enjoyable for some nonetheless! Was planning on making a post over on the DIY section later on to search for some inspiration on how to put the small pcb's in something more module-like.

And the exploration of my little box of wonders continues. I think i managed to open a portal to another dimension, make sure to dress warm and bring something to eat...

Happy new year, hope everyone in AE land is staying healthy and well. I've been doing a jam every day for Jamuary, but today was the day I decided to turn the spotlight to my wonderful AE modular The AE modular with the Octatrack is a really fun setup, pretty small and portable - but a sonic wonderland. I love how AE gives us that lovely analog goodness, then the Octatrack give us simple (?!) multitracking and audio mangling. ... a fun pairing that bring out the strengths of each other.

This lovely ambient track indeed transported me to a different world. Unfortunately I didn't need a jumper though as it's still 30 degrees Celsius in our Australian summer ...

Hi Mark, so great to see (and hear) that you're still using the AE! This is a great little tune.

My longterm plan is to integrate my organelle into the modular setup, but for the moment I really want tp learn the ins and uot of the different modules first. I'm hoping that the modular will also play nice with my Koma field kits.

I'm hoping that the modular will also play nice with my Koma field kits. The Organelle plays nicely with AE modular , Ive used it in the past for FX. if you have the Organelle-M, you also can easily send midi over to the AE modular , you can use a simple TRS cable BUT you have to switch tip n' ring, since AE modular is Midi TRS type B, whereas Organelle is type A. Field kits, yeah, I really need to start using these again.. I should make this part of Jamuary... they have been in and out of my eurorack of late, so are a bit 'lost'

Third jam for Jamuary! This time I was playing with a new Grains firmware oscillator and then added more and more digital sounds. And with some modulated filter, those digital oscillators actually sound quite analog, what do you think?

Multiple-purpose this one: * testing out a small modification to the rbss so that it plays more nicely with the quantizer; * using the qvca to crossfade between waveshapes; * using an LFO as a simple envelope…! Eariler versions were a bit darker, but following admin's track I thought I'd move it up a register…
