Robert just showed these photos of the new knobs on Instagram. These are his own creation which he is getting especially made for the AE system and they will simply fit over the normal knobs. http://instagr.am/p/CH7jRqWBnlp

Knobs are nice, but the module looks not bad either

I would love to read something more about this mixer - like: where are the outputs?

I would love to read something more about this mixer - like: where are the outputs? What you see in the image is just the mixer extension module. The main unit will have 4 channels with CV controlled amplitude, stereo panning and 2x AUX/FX sends per channel. That main module will have 3.5mm jacks for FX send/return and main outputs. You can extend the mixer with these extension modules to as many channels as you want. Apparently there will be a cable for this at the back. Another extension module will provide 1/4'' jacks for send/return and main output. There was a Facebook post about this:

Apparently not having Facebook leaves me behind. Thank You admin for bringing me up to date!

If they want my data, they can PAY ME for it!
Anyway, as far as the new knobs...the other neat thing here is that you don't have to put them on EVERY control. By sticking 'em on things like VCF Cutoffs and other prompt-tweaking controls, we can make our rigs even more customized and user-specific, with this change being a boost for the live gigging users here. More nifty AE serendipity!

I love that idea of making the more often used controls more prominent with these knobs

Are the new knobs glued on top of the "old" or can they easily be lifted off? Anyone with experience getting back the old knobs? Cheers

I had to remove a couple when I decided I want my system to have black panels, and it wasn't very easy to remove the new knobs. That said, they are removable no problem.
