Hi, Do you use the AE system in live situation ? If so, not too small, not too fragile? I would like to have your opinions. Thank you

Hi, Do you use the AE system in live situation ? If so, not too small, not too fragile? I would like to have your opinions. Thank you I used it live, but only once. I have mine instaled in metal travelcase, but at the time I had old type of wires that were very easily pulled out of sockets. As I wanted to make patch before and transport AE with inserted cables I was very careful during the transport. It worked and no cable felt out. With new wires it's no longer a big issue - they sit firmly in their sockets. So from my humble experience, when You have proper travel case and new wires You're good to go and perform in the live situation.

Hi, Do you use the AE system in live situation ? If so, not too small, not too fragile? I would like to have your opinions. Thank you A longtime colleague of mine got a Starter2 many months back (while there were still live gigs to do over here) and used his several times for live work, in addition to transporting it around in a gig bag. No damage, no electronic issues...it just keeps rolling along, no matter what the airlines, TSA, venues, etc tried to dish out. Sure, if you were to do something like trying to use it as a footstool, you'd certainly wreck it...but from what I and my friend have found, you'd really have to smack the living CRAP out of AE gear if you wanted to f**k it up. In short, pretty damn durable!

Hi, Do you use the AE system in live situation ? If so, not too small, not too fragile? I would like to have your opinions. Thank you I've been carrying it to meetups and live events a few times and I've only wrapped it in large amounts of bubble wrap and put it into a big duffel bag. But I've also went to these events in my own car so was very careful in how to handle it. I would probably not do this on a train or plane.

Yo-Yo Ma tours with, what, a million dollar super fragile cello? There are instruments far more fragile than the AE modular touring all over the world. In some ways a saxophone is more fragile. It's the case. Build a true road case and you won't have problems with fragility: www.diyroadcase.com/

I bought the AE system mainly because I wanted a compact live rig I could take out - given the whole pandemic thing I've not had the chance yet, though i'd have no issues at all about playing out with it... and it's significantly less risk than other systems I've taken out from a value point of view.
I have my two row in a case with an axoloti and sensel morph - all dressed up and nowhere to go.

I have taken the AE Modular on the road as well, both pre-patched in a metal case and un-patched in my backpack, wrapped only in a towel.
If you want to gig with it pre-patched, I can advise to use some sticky tape to tape down the cables onto the front panels, to make space for your hands and avoid the risk of unplugging something accidentally. I did that for a live show I played with the AEM and it worked great and even peeled off again afterwards without damaging the front panel print.
