The second wonkystuff module for AEModular is the rbss random bit-shift sequencer, Inspired by the well-known Turing Machine eurorack module. It's available from the wonkystuff web site here!, although the very first run is sold out already, there is a second run in production and then hopefully a subsequent batch. Please use this thread to offer up any tips/tricks or feature requests

Better count me among that second batch group...can't jump on it this week, but in a week or two, yeah! Should be a great fit with the other sequencing hardware...

Probably the only time Facebook has been useful to me in the last five years was it alerting me to the first run going on sale and just in time! They sold very fast!

Awesome! I love the Turing Machine! What exactly does the Rate knob control? An internal Clock source if nothing is patched to the Clock input?

Yes — there is a simple clock generator on board which simply sends clock out; you have to patch it to the clock input (or you can drive the clock input from something else of course) — for example you may choose to drive the TRIQ164 from the clock out and then use one of its outputs to clock the rbss. I think more videos are needed!

Sold out already . Is there any chance I can reserve one from the second batch?

Sold out already . Is there any chance I can reserve one from the second batch? Sorry about that — there is a second batch in yellow which I will start to assemble this weekend, and then there will be a third batch, probably in a larger number than the first two! I am currently wondering how best to manage 'pre-orders' (or early-bird product visibility) within the woocommerce framework that I use, so I hope to be able to manage this a bit better in the future!

I've just added some notes on the rbss on the wonkystuff website — hopefully these instructions are vaguely useful! rbss? What?!

rbss (batch3) will be on the site on Friday @ 6pm (again) Mailchimp linkJumping on this definitely, I'm frequently using the Turing machine in my eurorack system and have built a few circuits using shift registers. Proper useful. Have you ever thought about doing a preorder system, I'm sure folks wouldn't mind waiting a while and you'd know how much stuff you'd need to order and prep. Obviously its dependent on supply chain for PCB's, I have no idea what the current wait time is.

Yes, that's defintely an idea — I know that people are used to long wait times too, so maybe the AE Modular crowd are a more patient bunch than most The webshop does support taking orders when there's not stock, so maybe (after the rbss goes live) I'll convert to that for when (if!) this batch sell out. Thanks for the feedback!

Hello. This is my first post. I just ordered your RBSS module, which is also my first AE modular module. (I am still waiting for the building and delivering of my AE modular stuff )
