Moog has rereleased the Werkstatt-01 (https://www.moogmusic.com/news/werkstatt-01-now-available) looks like an interesting little synth.
I'm just not sure how compatible it is with my ae system. Does someone knows if the signals should be compatible?

Best to read the manual about signal levels. Don't put any voltage directly into the AE Modular that's not between 0 and +5 Volts.
Unless you go via 3.5mm TRS cable into the Master or 4I/O jacks. Those are protected.

Lots of incompatibilities there. For one thing, there's several voltages either required for input or being outputted that swing below 0V, and that's a big no-no in the AE environment. FWIW, this is a problem with Eurorack also, which is why utility modules like the Erica MScale exist. No dedicated ground patchpoint there, either...so some other method of establishing a ground plane between the Werkstatt's CIRCUITS (and NOT the case here) and the AE is a must.
One other annoyance: you can't use the 3.5mm Expander AND the pinpoints at the same time. While the Expander looks as if it MIGHT be pin-patchable, on closer examination what looks like a pin header is actually the bottom side of those, so you can't patch a Dupont pin there without modifying the connector.
But there's an upside, also: no S-trigger in use. Just the usual +5V pulse.

I was hoping more of something like the bastl kastl witch can be freely connected and is a very funny addition to the ae modular.
Thanks for the replys!

Isnt the wavetable module capable of going under 0V ? or did I get something wrong there?
