Since I'm happy to be a new member of the AE Modular community and completely new to the modular world, I'm actually trying to understand my modules in the starter rack 2. I tried to find some patches with the Logic module. The outcome sounds not very logical to me, but more randomly.... But fun to play around with the envelopes, the filters and the hi/low button of the 2OSCd. soundcloud.com/user-994548316/ae-modular-logic-3

Wow this track is awesome! Thank you! And thanks for your getting started videos on your YouTube channel. They helped me a lot to get some music out of the AE Starter Rack. So, what are your favourite patches using the Logic Module? It would be fantastic having a getting started video with the focus on the Logic Module. I also liked the patch challenge for the mini Synth. Maybe a good idea for all newbies like me to start a patch challenge on the starter rack 2.

Thanks a lot! I’m actually trying to understand the bread and butter modules of the starter rack 2 and get the most out of it before starting to upgrade with other modules. But to be honest, there is already a little wishlist for new modules 😊

It would be fantastic having a getting started video with the focus on the Logic Module. I thought about making a video about the logic modules, but honestly, they are pretty much the same as comparable Eurorack modules and there are already good videos about those on YouTube: Quick overview from NightMachinesDoepfer has made a very similar module and this is very well explained in these two videos:

Yep...Boolean logic is the same no matter where you go. The connectivity might be a little different from one manufacturer to the next, but the underlying principle is always the same:
OR = if there is a signal present on A OR B, the gate generates a pulse as long as A OR B is hot AND = if there is a signal present on A AND B, the gate generates a pulse as long as A AND B are hot NOR = if there is a signal present on neither A NOR B, the gate generates a pulse NAND = if there is a signal present on A OR B but not both, the gate generates a pulse
So, really, Boolean gates are actually sort of "conditional switches" that turn a gate pulse on or off, depending on what input conditions are being satisfied and what type of gate you're using. Note, also, that there are additionally inverter circuits on some Boolean modules out there that allow you to get the NOR and NAND result from just the OR and AND gates. But the really amazing thing is that those four gate states are what ALL computer logic is based on. Not too shabby for 1847!

I didn't know the Doepfer Videos. That helps me a lot! It's alway good for me to have an acoustic example according the theory of a modul.
