Definitely one for the stateside crowd. But man...the prices are wonderful. Given that just a few years ago, we were rather dependent on the NOS supply for SSM's chipset, seeing these stoopid-cheap SSI prices just warms my heart.
Anyone up for AE-style SSM modules? Seems like a thing our DIYers will totally get off on!

Warms my heart too... I already have some samples here of the soundsemiconductor chips (VCO, FILTER); they are extremely tempting because they run on 5V on the positive side, only need a negative supply that can be done with a DC-DC converter. More easy than the Curtis ones. So some SSI style modules can be expected for AE...!

SSM clones in AE format? WIN!!!!!!!! And just for the VCF alone...that circuit sounds SO smooth and warm, it's amazing. Not only was it part of the Rev.1 and 2 Prophet sound, that same VCF is in one of my fave digital polys, the Kawai K3, and it excels at slowly-changing pads and washes exactly for that reason.

Kawai k3 is a great synth and has s solid low end from that filter!

That’s awesome! I came in contact with the SSI2144 filters this year on my Gotharman SpazeDrum and Little deFormer 3 and would love to have this or the newer SSI2140 in the AE Modular format as well. The SSI2140 is apparently very easily configurable into various filter types ... maybe even via CV and a little microcontroller? Data Sheet: www.amplifiedparts.com/sites/default/files/associated_files/p-q-ssi2140.pdfGotharman offers an SSI2140 filter board as an upgrade for their Tiny LD: www.gotharman.dk/dual_SSI2140_VCF.htmI will receive one of those in a few weeks as an early x-mas present to myself. Apparently one can even morph between different filter configurations with this board and the SSI2140 chip.
