What a disturbing week...
Due to some chain of contagion-type Covid-19 crap, I wound up isolating starting Wednesday night through this afternoon, when I got my negative result from a swab test I took on Friday. The other person in the chain also tested negative, so yeah, bullet duly dodged.
Still, this is getting nuts...the virus is roaring back in parts of the USA, as you'd expect when there's no coherent effort to keep it in check. As a result, it's getting a lot trickier to get around and do what's necessary in everyday life again.

Glad the COVID missed you! I’ve had to take several tests so far. I wish we lived in a country that had a clue how to take care of itself.

We had 11 positive test in my sons (very little) school. 7 pupils and 4 teachers, all in the 1-3 grade classes. But some of the kids in my sons class have younger siblings in those classes.
Fortunately we just had one week of "fall vacation" where contamination chains are broken while a lot of kids and all the staff has been tested, so hopefully it's under control now.
many European countries are seeing a sharp incline in the number of contaminated people.

Yeah, it's getting scarier in the USA...we appear to be heading into a BIG upswing in cases, with the daily counts now routinely hovering in the vicinity of 50k new daily. And of course, along with that, Dumpf decided to come out and badmouth Dr. Fauci finally. Ugh...
Elon needs to get that Mars transit system set up already. Time to blow this taco stand.
