I found this a pretty thought-provoking video from the always-reliable Monotrail Tech Talk. TBH I'm often fiddling with the layout of my modules and moving things from one rack to another, trying to resist the temptation to squeeze all the 'latest & greatest' modules into one rack but rather build a coherent instrument... its tough! especially because AE is somewhat cheaper than Euro. My goal for this year is really to go deeper on the things i already have and not add new things* , even reduce the size of my setup maybe. I have four rows and there are still modules sitting in drawers which don't fit anywhere...time for a clear out!!
How often does everyone find themselves pulling their setup apart? Or do you all have fixed systems you're totally happy with?

I have 6 rows with one free slot but so far no need for new modules the system I have suits my needs. But i might get a envelope follower, perhaps.

Great video, I love his channel. It all depends on what you want to do. I want my rack to be a full stand-alone performance instrument, including effects, so it's difficult to really limit it.
I think Eurorack lends itself well to small systems because there are a lot of modules which offer several functions and built-in utilities.

I used to be like a kid in a candy store and swap the modules around a lot and try to obtain new ones but I've found I've been quite content with the modules I use now and like yourself keen to dive deeper with those. Don't think I could sell off the others as I may find a use for them that I don't understand as yet.
Of course, there could always be a new module that stirs the pot.......so I guess I'm still just that kid in the candy store......doh!

I've finalised my AE modular layout at least 3 times, and is currently in pieces again awaiting my latest TW order....
