I ordered my Modular Rack 2 with some extra modules in early June and received mine early September. It was a painful wait but was well worth it. I love this format.

My Tangible order has shipped, but it's sitting in limbo in Frankfurt for almost two weeks... :/

I'm right there with you. I've purchased as much off it as I can from Noisebug, but some of the goodies like Solina and Trq164 are coming from Tangible Waves. It's three months wait now, and I'm eager to get to work with them, but I also know that I'm going to be that much more appreciative when they get here, so it's worth it.

The tracking is awful for DHL. My last shipment was marked as sitting in Frankfurt for 6 weeks(!) until it all changed within a day and the box was delivered to my house to my big surprise.

Oh, that’s a shame — I just signed up with DHL Express as an alternative shipper. I need to go through the prices etc., but I had the impression that they would be more reliable than using national postal services …

It has now left Frankfurt, passed through New Jersey, and is out for delivery today, a mere 3 months after ordering it. 8)

DHL uk to uk might be aok.. plus there is the bonus of the 1 hour delivery window.. Carstens experience with germany to australia seems quite extreme ,, but might be normal for that journey right now?? Maybe Dhl haven’t given the right ‘paper handshake’ to customs officials globally!! I have to say i have just sent two big packages to the USA with just the normal ‘tracked’ overseas Royal Mail and they are already at the local destination sorting facility after only 5 days,! not bad

Has the lead-time on orders increased from 2 months. I placed an order in August and it only just got put into the build-queue at the end of November 🤔
I completely understand that things take time though and that demand outweighs supply right now.
A blessing and a curse for Robert and Co. 😛

I ordered just a single 2VCA module yesterday. Got the nifty 10 per cent discount before 2021 started. Be interesting to see how long a single module takes to get to me in the UK . And whether you need to pay tax on it now.

Mine shipped on October 11, 2020. It's January 1, 2121, and I'm still waiting. For me it's the shipping time. International shipping runs at about 19 century speeds. I laced the order in August. It shipped in October. That about normal. I fear the order has been caught up in some kind of bureaucratic netherworld. So, five months and waiting!

Do you have a tracking number and did you follow up with the postal service about this? I live at the end of the world in Australia and still shipping from Germany "only" takes at most 8 weeks.

I have a package that shipped in October without tracking info. It's just, you know, out there somewhere. (That's my second Tangible order-- the first one did finally arrive after spending a long time in Germany).

Delivery
I spotted that DHL, out of Germany are having problems at the moment (I had something else delivered from Germany and it arrived in only four days, but I was very lucky):
If there is a problem with orders getting out of Germany (and likely almost every other country, to be fair), it's probably going to affect things badly, I'm afraid. Robert will know the specific situation with regard to his shipping.
On another point...
I noted the comment that demand is outstripping supply, which makes me wonder why used systems don't seem to sell very easily - at least from my monitoring of the posts here, and also the various Reverb adverts. I also (finally) got onto the Discord channel and I watched the discussion there.
After all, you're jumping the queue, and making a saving, so what's not to like...? Also, the AE Modular format is a good bet as a used system as the failure seems incredibly low (again, from watching the forum and my own experience). If it works when it arrives, which it seems to do almost every time, with only the odd QC issue slipping through, which is quickly put right, then it stays working. So, again, what's not to like...?
So why don't used systems sell in an environment where you can wait a lot of months, and still need to build up to what you could buy immediately, and for less, and all with a low failure rate...? Is it better to sell modules individually, perhaps...? Is there a problem with the (sometimes rapid) development of some modules meaning that older ones lose their value...?
Sad that I am, I like to think about these things - if it's better on the Discord channel, I'll watch out for discussion there.

In my case I'm looking for specific modules that don't really come up in the second-hand/4-sale section or on Reverb. If I was looking for a full starter-kit then if go to Reverb or Juno and simply get one there.

Some of the used systems ive seen price themselves out of it - I'd have had no issues buying used but I'd expect a decent saving on new price plus another bit on top for buying in bulk. Asking anything above 70% of new is pushing it imo, and really I'd be looking for at least 60% of new for a system.

Yeah, I do have a tracking number, and I talked to Robert about it in November. He stated the same thing in terms of 7/8 weeks or so. Given that December 11 was so close to the Christmas holidays, I figured it best wait until the New Year before asking for an investigation.

The complete systems currently for sale on Reverb are REALLY HUGE. Like, $1k or $2.6k or whatever-- even for the massive pile of stuff you get, that's still a steep entry fee.
I got my original setup used from a friend for about $600, or quite a lot less than the new cost (it was a starter rack 2 plus enough other modules to fill it up), and I was quite happy with that and went on to buy more gear, but if it had been $1000 or more I probably wouldn't have. That guy selling a $2600 system, yes, it's a really great setup, but it's mostly going to appeal to people who are already familiar with the format and thus probably already have a setup.
(And sometimes people just overprice them-- there was somebody on Reverb with a 1x12 rig with 10 spaces of modules including the MASTER, that he had priced at $500-- or, you know, enough to buy a new 2x16 starter rack. I made him a reasonable offer and bought it, but if I (or somebody) hadn't known to make that offer it would have sat there for a long long time.)
I think if you're selling to people who already have AE gear, individual modules or smaller setups are better since you're augmenting what they already have. If you're selling to people who don't already have AE gear, a single smaller complete rack is more accessible than a giant wall of modules. If the guy asking $2600 split it up into 3 2x16 and 1 1x16 individually usable rigs (master, oscillator, filter, envelope, LFO, VCA, some kind of output, maybe a sequencer in each) I bet they'd sell. Same with individual modules. If people in the US don't want to wait for shipping from Germany and Noisebug is out of stock of a module or they just want a used-price deal, they'll be easy to sell.

IT ARRIVED!!! I'm so happy
Ordered: 27th Aug 2020 Arrived: 14th Jan 2021
I'm wondering if multiple smaller orders would be faster than one big order  Probably not as I'm guessing it's just done in the order they come in as.

I think it all depends on the particular modules and their availability in stock at the time. I got most of my system from Juno in 2019 and early 2020, and my first order directly from TW (three modules) was placed on December 7th. It got shipped on the 21st and on the 6th of January arrived safely to my big surprise as everything took less than a month. I placed another order on December 23rd, we'll see long it will take. Anyway, patience is one of the few virtues I possess, so waiting has never been a problem for me My strategy will be to place a small order (1-2 modules) every time a previous one arrives...

I think that's even longer than mine took! Shipped 22 Oct 2020 (it shipped fast since it was just a couple of modules and some wires and it was all in stock), arrived today, 6 Feb 2021.

Oh, I'm still waiting on my 21 August 2020 order. Honestly, I think DHL has lost the package. Robert has requested an investigation, but, man, international shipping is like trying to get to Mars. I've started buying my modules from Noisebug here in the States.
Ordered: 21 August 2020 No sign of arrival: 06 Fed 2021

My order placed on the 7th Feb just arrived at my door today on the 16th Feb, which was a lot faster than I expected!
Worth noting that I am in the UK, and that this order was just a single module, plus some cables and knobs, so not a lot of assembly work on TW's end and (presumably) not of a high enough value to attract any customs complexity. Still though, I was not expecting to have my hands on this module so soon given Brexit and the high demands for AE orders.
