Are all good examples of great engineers who single mindedly invented a great product. Always to good to buy kit invented by one persons vision. As Alex Issigonis said "A camel is a horse designed by committee". Thanks Robert.

As Alex Issigonis said "A camel is a horse designed by committee". Thanks Robert. Where I work, a committee is where the horses and camels get together to "workshop" the design parameters, which are then passed to a sub-committee to create the relevant focus groups. There is always much talk of agile this and agile that where I work, with no real concept of what it means in terms of real delivery, it' usually just hollow words... looking at the development of the AE Modular from a spark to an instrument in the hands of enthusiasts and/or musicians is a joy to behold and it's why I don't moan about the waiting times Shutting up now...

First, thanks for this touching and heart-warming words! Indeed, the process of making AE is very special, there is literally a lot of in-spir-ation in the sense of "spirit" (as ideas, concepts, solutions for problems/challenges) coming from nowhere and I "only" bring it into shape. Might sound a bit esoteric, but it's exactly what I'm experiencing. And I often wonder if this couldn't be the usual way for any kind of work...? As spacedog noted, there is this agile approach in many fields, which is an attempt to let things flow better (and I think there is a lot of value in this); but what is it that turns you into a receiver of inspiration? Interesting topic... It's really awesome with you, guys! Thanks and love to all of you!

As Alex Issigonis said "A camel is a horse designed by committee". Thanks Robert. abso-blinking-lutely! robert is such a nice ( and crazy generous ) guy ... and I can vouch for Ross too, really great fellow, I was a beta tester on AudioMulch in the late 90’s and I can’t bring words to say how important it was in opening up the ‘music concrete’ world and wrestling it out of the hands of dry academics .. he even let us put it on a floppy disk ( for real ) and give it away for free stuck to the front of a CD release!! I so wish he would port audiomulch to ios... though Apematrix and Zmors modular go someway in that direction ( no meta-surface though!! ) i don’t know this Alex chap... must look him up.. anyway, salutes to robertlanger and may his muse from ‘nowhere’ continue for a few decades more at least... and also hats off to admin for keeping the forum boat afloat and all the useful vids.. so many others here are providing inspiration too... keep yr racks warm and cable pins clean... “ a horse is a horse, of course, of course “
