I spotted this getting a few good reviews on Facebook today and it looked interesting. You never know, there may be something in there that triggers something for you. You can read about it and download it from here. The author is looking for comments and feedback. My partner suffers from BAS. Her thinking is that she only has to buy the book, not actually read it. I suspect some kind of osmotic reading technique whereby she merely has to be within 2m of any book and she has acquired its contents. As you can imagine, my theory hasn't been popular. A very long time ago (1983/84), I was using an exceptionally useful book called Musical Applications of Microprocessors by Hal Chamberlain. I learned just about everything useful that I knew from that book. Imagine my surprise when I found it for free as a pdf right here. I think my copy was from about 1980 and had a slightly different cover. I must dig it out, I know it's right next to my copy of Learning Music with Synthesizers by Alan Pearlman, of ARP fame, (and others). I found that one as well, right here. |
