admin Indeed it was a super nice opportunity amongst all the other patch challenges. I personally lately had a very little free time to sit next to my modular and play around. And this challenge just brought a complete joy of playing with it and appreciation for this small but powerful modular system.

spacedog: Regarding to your recording/editing issue. Most of the times I'm just using a direct audio input to the phone which is recording the video. For the video recording I'm using iPhone 8, and a very cheap usb audio interface/dongle (i think i've payed like 7-8€), it just has one audio in and one audio out but that's totally enough just to get the signals. Well you also need an adapter from Lightning to USB (Apple is all about dongles) which costs like 30-40€... Input level is controlled via mini Behringer mixer. But this scenario works fine only if you're looking into a very simple play-->record video stuff. If you want to do some video and audio editing - you could do with iPhone/iPad too, but if you wanna go deeper then there's some payed apps for that which are great, but - payed. Actually, most of the audio recording and editing is also possible on iOS devices. I love a few apps, like AUM (a sort of digital audio workstation for recording loops and playing midi, etc.) and Cubasis, where there's Waves plugins for audio processing and mastering, which I think is great. Sorry for some sort of "pushing" towards iPad/iPhone direction, non-intentional, just working all day next to my laptop, so I'm always looking for escape from it. In general I would say nowadays there's no need to have a dedicated PC/laptop for a basic video editing, if there's no need for 3D effects etc., in a lot of cases it works perfectly with your phone. Actually Android phones have some great editing apps for free or for a very small price (better than iOS), meanwhile, iOS device world is more expensive, but the audio/music production side is better than Android.

Thanks, ben, very useful.
I will have to declare my non-use of "i" products - apart from my work phone, which confounds me almost every day with its contrary "i" operating system I just never went down that particular route.
I did have a quick look at Android video editing (honestly somthing that I hadn't even considered) and I saw some quick and free/cheap solutions. My phone camera is the only non-still camera that I own, so that would have to be my starting point. I will do something as a test, I think.
In terms of DAW, I've tried most over the years and Reaper has most certainly won. It also works very well on my very old Windows laptop, even though any video editing software just stalled.
I shall think about how I do something basic - really just for here, as I have no talent for getting in front of the camera, or even speaking. Others are waaay more talented than me in that respect.

spacedog - oh no need to be shy here. My guess we're all here for the same reason, which is to share some fun, gain some knowledge and share ideas. Me, personally, that's the only place here where I share my sound related videos.

I'm really sorry that this took so long to announce the winners of this competition! Robert was sick and then overwhelmed with orders (a good thing!) and I was on holidays and then back home and then travelling for work ... so to make a long story short - it took a while to make up our minds about this, but we have finally made it! Before announcing the winners though, may I say again that both Robert and I were absolutely blown away by the content that was submitted. It is really a challenge to produce something of interest with this tiny selection of modules and especially if you don't have a sequencer, etc. But somehow you all got it right and made it work. Again thank you all for your efforts. And the winners are: #3x2 - the voucher for 15 Euro goes to both ben and bahm for their efforts that were a tad out of scope, but really nice tracks. #2 - the AE-Modular T-Shirt goes to moruial for a great track without the help of any extras #1 - the first prize, the new Drum Module goes to arti for using the modules in ways that we didn't even think were possible Congratulations everyone!
