I f***ing love the Solina module. I’ll buy 4 for some mad drones. Just wondering what will be CV controllable, as the prototype seems to lack a bit on that side. It would also be interesting to have an LFO out for example. Just chipping in as TTNM suggested it when I replied to his video on YT.
Maybe the "Chord +" and "Chord -" CV inputs could be omitted and used for "Spread" and "Tone" modulation instead? If one wanted control over the phaser, one could use an external effect, like the MULTIFX module, which offers CV modulation over its parameters.
I like the idea of the LFO out too, although I suspect that in general DAC outputs aren't as plenty as ADC inputs.
Watching clips from Superbooth I've noticed another new module. Can someone explain what the SLEW/EDGE does? What the Russian guy said in his overview wasn't enough to me to grasp the idea. I'm kinda familiar with slew (from my Neutron) but what does it mean it's west coast limiter as stated in the clip? Does every slew module fits this description, or this one is different? I've never heard about edge modules. What this combination (slew/edge) allows us to achieve?
Has a look at the Slew Limiter...here's what I see there: the basic function is a typical portamento. But since Robert configured this together with a rise/fall discriminator, you also have pulse-outs for voltage rise detected, voltage fall detected, and voltage movement (rise or fall) detected. VERY useful! Plus, the portamento behavior can be selected to occur on rise, fall, or both voltage changes, and you have linear and logarithmic slewing curves...which means it should be a cinch for it to replicate TB-303-type glides or a host of other possible things.
Typical AE stuff...sure, it does what it's labelled, but that's just "the basics". Love how Robert sneaks in these extra little functions here and there...
