I think your answer is pretty clear. As you pointed out nobody is pressured to contribute to the compilation album. Nobody will take it the wrong way if you promote your individual track on the socials (a little link to the compilation is always a nice little extra) but I for one would think its in bad taste to submit the same track to another compilation, especially given the purpose of this compilation. Now, this said, if Warp records comes and ask me for this track to land me a paid job ...  Y'all better pray I don't get famous. |

I don't feel pressured or constrained or in fear of retribution, and I don't care about money, I'm just autistic af and want to understand and follow the rules because that's how I function in a society.
So my understanding is that if I submit something, the social expectation is that I don't ever put it on one of my own albums.

As I said ... there is no contract and it's your music, you can do with it whatever you want. However it would be nice if the music on AEtherwaves would be an exclusive offering and I personally will not put my track anywhere else except maybe on Youtube to promote the album. |
