It seems to work in well with the Ae, nice track.
Is that you playing the instruments that you sampled?

Thanks, yes I got it in a bout of nostalgia and because I could get it at a really nice price. My first steps in electronic music were made on a fasttracker 2 with a gravis ultrasound card that I maxed out with memory chips I scavenged from an old VGA controller. It is definitely not everyone's workflow, it is not unlike filling in some excel sheet and seeing what it sounds like it feels a lot like sequencing on a more microscopic level. But it did not take a long time to get back in the workflow and I'm already happy enough that my first attempt does not sound like another nosebleed drum 'n bass track which seems to be the main kind of music produced on trackers
Did I sample the notes and sequenced those? yes. Did I sequence the drums yes, but I don't 'play' any of the sampled instruments. I can only find my way around a guitar fretboard and a saxophone.

Ah I knew you had some sort of wind instrument so thought maybe it was also you. The excel spreadsheet workflow interests me like a puzzle does but really need to get my hands on one to be sure. Maybe checking out that fasttracker2 might be fun Sometimes a good nosebleed session helps to clear the head.......

I'm not sure fasttracker is available for modern computers but you can always try out a modern tracker like renoise which is basically a full fledged daw in tracker format.

thanks will check out renoise, Tracker isn't available like you say, there was a tracker II Clone for windows out there, but it looks like it got taken down.
