I am interested in the VMIX-10 mixer, to use with my AE Modular and some other devices - including Volcas.
Before spending my limited budget, I have some questions - and would like to ask for views and opinions from people who are using the mixer.
I have read that using Volcas with the mixer may generate noise (if the Volcas are powered from the mixer?) - and that cables are available to mitigate this.
1) May I ask what the mixer 'noise floor' is like with no inputs plugged in?
ie if I was to turn up the gain on all the inputs, and the output is at full.
2) Does any audible noise change when other mains powered audio devices are plugged into the mixer?
ie is the noise specifically linked only to the Volcas, or do other devices also affect the noise.
3) If the output is set to 'high' or maximum, and all the inputs are in use (being fed audio signals) with all channel volumes are set as low as possible, is the output silent?
Or is there some 'leaking' of sound?
4) Is there any 'cross bleed' of audio between channels?
ie Say that channel 1 is fed with audio, and is set to 'zero' (or the lowest setting) - If channel 2 and the mixer output is turned up fully, can channel 1 audio be heard at all?
Finally, if anyone has done (or is going to do) a video demonstrating the mixer in a way that answers the above questions, please share the link !
