So, messing around with my Topograf for rhythmic parts and I notice that it doesn't always trigger my envelope, has anyone else seen anything like this? I made a simple transistor gate detection circuit and this also misses triggers particularly at high speeds. Interestingly neither the 2ENV or the gate detection circuit miss signals from seq8 or seq16.
Is my topograf not functioning properly or are there different requirements for reliably detecting trigger signals as oppose to gate signals?

Yes this is known problem with the Topograf. It is really made more for triggering drums from the KICK or DRUMKIT010 modules.

Please refer the OPTIONS section on the MI page for GRids: mutable-instruments.net/modules/grids/manual/Here, you have the possibility to change the output to gate mode: It explicitely says "This [1ms trigger] behavior - which is recommended for 808 or 909-like sound modules - can be changed in order to produce gate signals more suitable for controlling envelopes or other modules’ CV inputs." - which should solve the issue. I am usually too lazy to read documentation. But Robert reminded me that there is documentation for a reason Has anyone here in the forum used the Euclidian mode? I just learned a few minutes ago, that this mode exists...

[...] Has anyone here in the forum used the Euclidian mode? I just learned a few minutes ago, that this mode exists... OK - there are some many posts in this forum which I have missed - For example I found this post from 2019 mentioning the euclidian mode with a link to this video, which describes the mode: And of course there is a The 5th Volt video which describes the euclidian mode I apologize for hijacking this topic ("Topograf outputs don't reliably trigger 2ENV") with my questions about the Euclidian mode. If possible, we could move my posts to a separate topic
