This is more Lost in Space than Journey through Space, but I captured the original idea I had for this patch challenge. The one hiccup was that I intended the clock speed of the sequencer to ebb and flow by altering the LFO frequency with a CV - I had never noticed you couldn't do that! I do LFO rate changes quite a lot on synths with modulation matrixes, my favourite thing is to have the LFO rate increase as the pitch gets higher. I therefore ended up turn turning the LFO clock manually and just speeding up through the recording. I intended to use my newest 19" rack FX box on this as it has some lush reverbs but ended up with my original, first ever FX box (not pedal), an old Yamaha thing with a mono in and stereo out which is very useful for synths like the AE. The Program used was Resonant space which seemed quite appropriate to me! The CVs were quantised for the sequence but the eerie little high pulse is not. That is made by the Solina. The mix went to the 2 Signal Amp taken right to the edge of clipping and then the phaser before off out to the Yamaha and recorder. The photo on the Soundcloud page is the one for this challenge.

You can send a squarewave through an MIDICLOCK DIVIDER and CV control the speed of the OSCillator thus creating fluctuation in your sequencer speed.

Thank you, I should of thought of that but still tend to separate CV and audio in my head.... I thought today I could of done the Envelope as an LFO trick, I intend to try it before I dismantle the patch. The idea I had at the time was to use a drum machine for the midi clock and adjust that by programming bars with different tempos but I want to keep the patch challenges 100% AE (except No. 2 obviously!)

Had a go, worked well, high speeds are quite mental! My other ideas worked too, patch now dismantled as working on PC5....
