Thanks for all your help, the rack is ordered! Good luck with it all and I hope you'll post some of your patches here on the forum once you get started! That's the plan! I imagine it will be a few months between getting the order and learning to "play" this instrument! I pretty much got this rack with one or two modifications -- polamix instead of the 2att/cv and substituted an ADSR for one of the 2ENV. Attachments:

Thanks for all your help, the rack is ordered! Your listing above looked good, but to truly master the dark arts you need gate and cv processors and other freaky sequencer like the Kyaa thing and what not. I know you know this, but as you build and patch and learn, don't feel fear to order another case (I'd get a double) and expand and re-arrange. I just went hog wild from the start and have 10 standard cases (8 are mine, 2 for a friend) with various pieces in various stages of build and delivery. Everything (or nearly) will be multi-tracked too which is essential for me. There were like 5-10% of the overall modules that even I did not see a need for (though I know what they do, I just don't need to go there) but otherwise I'm armed to the teeth, because why not. Enjoy :-) The Kyaa is definitely something I want but in the future after I get used to the setup I got. I'm not sure what module is the the gate and CV processor, can you clarify? I know I'm going to be adding more in the future! I have a very specific goal in mind and I think I ordered the modules that will give me the flow, sound, and texture I'm looking for. After that is achieved I'm afraid I'm going to be order a lot more. The cirrus module and sawvox are two I REALLY wanted but will patiently wait for them to become in stock with the new chip. I hope at some point I can put together a few modules to make a Morphagene-lite module combination for sample mangling and processing or that Robert will make something like the morphagene - a granular sample scanner/looper/mangler of sorts with cv control over sample time from timescales of seconds down to granular, pitch/rate, forward/reverse, start/end point (we can dream can't we!).

Hello everyone! I am looking to build a modular set up to achieve lush, dark, textural, ambient drone layers of sound with interesting evolving melodies and rhythms. I became very inspired by Robert's Ambient Waves 2021 and 2019 performance, as well as the set he played with Antonia at DigitalAnalog 2020. These pieces really exemplify what I'm going for. I have attached two versions and was hoping for any advice before I put in my order. Is this too much as a starter who has been messing around with semi modular for a year (Neutron and 0-coast) and is finding it limiting? Am I missing anything essential here?I’m not sure about the topograph vs the TRIQ164 for drum patterns. I also included the MM-Div and TRIP, maybe this is too much? I am assuming I can only use a single effect in the Multi FX module at once? If so, how many of you have more than one Multi FX? Is there anyway to combine some of the modules like the ENV follower and Cirrius (when it becomes available) to make a Make-noise Morphogene type granular sample loop processing? Thanks for all your input.

There are many cv and gate processors and manglers. Go in the tangible waves site and click those two categories and then learn about each item. You will know which ones you want after you learn about them. The new module seems to be some kind of cv processing monster. I just ordered it.

Btw my man has the new new module that is a cv and gate mangler beast. I’m surprised I ordered only one. See on the tangible site and it’s in the newsletter.

And you did. Looking forward to hearing more from that setup. You seem to have everything needed to do some serious sound exploring, no need to rush after all the latest and newest modules, there is a lot to learn and discover in what you got there. Have a wonderful journey.
