I am aware that there are people lurking on the forum who have not yet decided to take the plunge in modular/AE. This video I found on Youtube may help you....
It is about really about Eurorack, and part of what it helps with is how much cheaper it is to go down the AE route! But he asks the questions of why you even want to go modular at all. I like his style of presentation and is informative.
