oh and visuellemusik how many 'favourites' can you have in the AE TBD? Hi rockysmalls , yes indeed it should be "access more than one parameter per control" (changed it in the original post - was a stupid typo when changing 'accessing' to 'to access' orgiginally ;-) - but: no morphing involved, here. Unless you have parameters that behave differently by concept so to say. For instance if you combine a dry/wet fader (for an effect) with a filter-cutoff you may end up with similar results, more or less accidentally.

oh and visuellemusik how many 'favourites' can you have in the AE TBD? 10 favo(u)rites can be stored and selected from a dropdown-list in the GUI. With 'Recall' you recall a Favorite stored inside the module (Similar to selecting a favorite directly on the module). With 'Snap' you assign your current configuration of plugins and presets to a Favorite and then can save this setting inside the module. With 'Edit' you can change the name of the Favorite for the dropdown-list and also regarding the name as it will be displayed on the AEM TBD's display.

Already imagining how to patch with the switch matrix to change the patch with only the push of a button. Depending, if you're using the TBD as sounds generator or an effect. Gonna be sweet for live performance...

I'm guessing alot of this will be answered at the booth but is there any insight on the availability of the parts needed to make this module and the distribution to the distributors? just wondering if this is a 2021 thing or a 2022. really exciting module regardless..... It's definitely a 2021 thing! The components are available (especially the processor, we already have a batch of them). When I'm back from superbooth, a first run of boards will be ordered for production :-)

Fantastic and unexpected news!!! I looked into the ESP32 briefly last year when researching DIY video synths. The ESP32 can output grayscale composite video signals from its DAC apparently: bitluni.net/esp32-composite-videoWonder if this would run on the TBD as well then. I spent some time coding grayscale UIs for the Monome Norns and although that’s done in simple Lua and not C++, I imagine that coding a simple CV reactive chaos video generator on the ESP32 wouldn’t be that difficult.

There is also a simulator available for the ctag-tbd. I use Windows and I was able to compile and run the simulator using the "Approach 1" described on the tbd github page for the simulator. There is also a Youtube Video on the Creative Technologies channel

I'm really excited about TBD; instant wishlist item. I'm especially excited that it can sample up to 60 seconds worth of audio. Lots of potential there

I'm really excited about TBD; instant wishlist item. I'm especially excited that it can sample up to 60 seconds worth of audio. Lots of potential there Just to be clear ... it can play samples. 60 seconds of which can be stored alongside the firmware. It doesn't have a sample function. And to load the samples you have to use the firmware update process. All of this is a bit rough at the moment, but Robert is working on streamlining all of this in time for the release of the module.

Bit off main Subject, did you find any diy or otherwise video synths that you would recommend or any grayscale Ui's within norms. Cool that you were writing code for them. Cheers

I think I've found the founding module for a new rack case....

I think I've found the founding module for a new rack case.... That's a good but dangerous idea: creating a case from a single module and how to get the most out of this module. The TBD case, the cirrus one, a grains one (with only grains.s;) and so on 😅...

Yesterday i was imagining a small single row case with Algodrone / TBD / Cirrus / Dronx. That would be an incredibly powerful and versatile little box...

Cheers Sorry, I missed this reply. I made a thread about the video synth stuff here back then: forum.aemodular.com/thread/1106/diy-video-sampler-coding-solderingAnd here are my norns scripts: llllllll.co/t/nmmelodymagic/llllllll.co/t/nmsmartypants/llllllll.co/t/nmquadrodubber/llllllll.co/t/nmrain/I had a short but very intense norns spree earlier this year when I was traveling for work … check out the nmMelodyMagic thread above, I was crazy … almost literally. haha! Spent a month or so coding stuff almost every evening in hotel rooms for several hours. Coding in Lua is amazing, but I was pretty burned out after that time and haven’t used norns since. 😅

Wait, TBD has a clone of Clouds? That's could be a solution to those waiting on Cirrus.

Awesome! Thanks NightMachines I'm going to enjoy going through your video thread and norns work. Sorry I missed the thread when I did a search. At first glance that nmmelodymagic looks so crazy, no wonder it burnt you out especially while travelling for work which is never a holiday in the first place. That'll be the one I play with first for sure. Much appreciated.

Wait, TBD has a clone of Clouds? That's could be a solution to those waiting on Cirrus. Yes, but the AE TBD is only mono and has only two knobs for control. Cirrus is stereo and has lots of knobs for hands on control. In that regards I would say that TBD "Claude" is good for some aspects but Cirrus will give you more control and a stereo field.

A little off-topic (because not AE Modular related) - but still interesting: TBD for VCV Rack --work in progress--

I have created two releases in our Github fork of the project where you can easily download already compiled versions of the simulator for Windows and OSX systems. github.com/aemodular/ctag-tbd/releasesIn the current releases I only see the builds for the tapp application. I found a tag for Simulator-Win64-2021-09-16 and for Simulator-OSX-2021-09-16. But these tags only contain a ZIP file with the source code. Can you post a link to a build for the simulator?
