The new CIRRUS module was released yesterday and apparently it's flying off the shelves While the lineage of this module definitely goes back to Mutable Instrument's Clouds Eurorack module, the actual implementation follows Graycell's Supercell module which has a few more knobs and an extended firmware with more algorithms. This module also exists in VCV Rack and the master of VCV Rack tutorials, Omri Cohen has made this very detailed tutorial about all the different modes and how to use them in a patch. All these modes and patches should work as well in the new CIRRUS module!

for anybody with an iPad that hasn’t yet delved ... the MiRack app has that Texture Synth module in it ,, which covers the first 4 modes as exist in the original Clouds .. .. it’s £9.99 rather than free like VCV .. but a small price to pay to save all that mousing around and a good way to check it out.. i use it A LOT!! can’t wait to have hardware access to the other 4 modes. i have to ditch ONE module from my rack to fit it in ... hmmmmmm

Seing no mode select switch on the Cirrus, i assume it is done by pressing multiple switches simultaneously, and then the selected mode is somehow briefly displayd by some of the LED's ?

though saying that MikMo ( admin , robertlanger ) ... in supercell there is an internal random cv that can have it’s speed set and is a default when no cv is patched to the parameters .. BUT the amount sent is set by the attenuverters on each cv input ... as there aren’t any attenuverters on CIRRUS i guess this function doesn’t exist? .. i mean... it’s less than a third of the price .. so something’s gotta give .. ie: this and the Aux cv to all parameters.. but that’s no hardship .. i still can’t believe we are getting these things at such an affordable level!

Seems like Cirrus was more based on the Microcell, a smaller version of Supercell which has the same core features but which is equally lacking attenuverters
edit: also the demo videos on that page are really something!

OMG. After watching the VCV demo i can't wait to get my hands on the Cirrus.
So many cool functions.
