Peak district here so rule me out! still... a nice place to be! Very much so - we're lucky! I love the KLF, but they had it the wrong way around; regardless of opportunity it's much grimmer down south. |

olleh olleh! i know, i’ve really come to enjoy the area in these past months scouting it out ... unfortunately we just withdrew our offer on the house in Waterfoot today ... ironically because it is next door to a recording studio!! .. seems counterintuitive but the studio is in the adjoining attic and the selfish idiot owner hasn’t made any effort to sound proof!! .. duff, duff, duff, duff, duff, duff etc.. almost everything else about it was perfect.. weirdly took us 4 visits to catch it happening , the vendor not very transparent about it.. and always booked viewings early mornings ... sneaky.. see you at the black pudding throwing contest ( covid mutations allowing ) .. or at that amazing ice cream shop  Shame, but absolutely the right decision. Hope you get something more peaceful sorted… Yes, excellent field recording opportunities! How on earth would we explain black pudding throwing to forum members from further afield?! You get a black pudding and you throw it as far away as you can?..... |

Finally found my soldering iron (we moved last year, and I hadn't used it for about 5 years), so with much trepidation soldered my Biot.....
I checked the soldering with a magnifying glass and re-did 3 connections, then installed in my AE. Everything worked perfectly. I am very surprised, happy and relieved.
The Biot is an interesting module, not going to be one to give the same result every time but that was part of what I wanted. Looking forward to exploring further with it. Already messing with using something other than my fingers on it!
Must try audio as suggested in the opener to this thread....
