Hi,
I'm looking at buying the new VMBRIDGE module, but I was wondering whether it can also be used with the Korg Monotribe and other Korg gear with the same sync in/out?

Yes, the sync signal is identical among Korgs as far as I know.
But you don't need the VMBRIDGE for syncing a Volca or Monotribe with the AE. The Korg sync is just a voltage spike that you can also send into the CV in on the Master module or 4I/O module and use as a clock. The CV inputs on the Master and 4I/O module are voltage protected so you can send any gate or trigger into them.

sadly my budget has plumeted (..
Normally my plan was to get 2 volca modular and 2 vmBridges.
Maybe one day it is possible, but good to see that this module finally hit het store.

Definitely need one of these but in the meantime i tried something i've never thought of until recently; using AE as a midi-to-CV converter for the volca, sending a sequence into MASTER over midi (from ipad) then using the CV generated from that to not only drive the AE but also sending a copy through 4IO into the cv in 3.5mm jack on the volca. Quite handy, since the volca mod doesn't have a midi input of its own |

I'm not good at controlling between synths and only just started to bring it into my jams so I've been waiting on the VMbridge before attempting anything with these two so this will give me something to experiment with. Would love to see any jam/patch vids between the two from youtself or anyone. |
