Well, that was rather more stressful than I had anticipated — apologies for the website outage (I really didn't think that there would be *that* much demand!) — email was also lost for a few hours Anyway, I hope that the website is now up and working again (technical side-point: it's now running through CloudFlare so there might be some wrinkles until the DNS changes propogate fully - if in doubt clear your local DNS caches). Now for a weekend of building and packing! Thank you all

Ok i was just skimming the assembly guide and I have the n00b-iest question of all time: in terms of soldering, the instructions basically just say "now solder the components" .... probably this will be obvious when i get my hands on the actual board, but does the spring connector also get soldered in place, as well as the AE headers? Or it just sits in there?
My other thought is that by virtue of the sprung connection/swappable panels, presumably enterprising folks could develop their own touchplate designs with unique touch characteristics?
