Power and bus access

So I recently downgraded my master module to the 1u power module far sake of space. Had a mess around today, as it occured to me if I wasn't using the bus access that maybe I could patch into it and route signals around the case via the different busses. Apparently I can - if I run a signal into, for example, gate (which is technically an output), I can patch it out anywhere around the rack.

I'm assuming this is safe since there is no other data going in there?
